Last night was my first night there. The restaurant is small but comfortable. I had a pork belly Arepa with Cheese and I must admit that pork belly was the best I've had in a restaurant. Perfect tenderness and juicyness. Arepa nice and toasted and soft in the inside. It was top tier !. The service was fast and brief I have no complaints about this spot. Definitely will come back !

Since I get to this country I always crave for good and tasty Venezuelan food. Thank god I met this place. 3 years later and I keep on coming back. The food is amazing, the service is wonderful, kind and so friendly that it makes me feel like home. The ambiance is cozy and has outdoor sitting in case you wanna come with your furry friend . Thank you for the food and the experience especially to Chris! He is an amazing, kind, helpful and friendly server. Btw, his new chipotle mayo is Amazing!

**Delivery Review** New highly rated spot that was on Uber Eats for delivery. The timeframe was about 30 minutes, which is reasonable for a Saturday night. Opted for the Burrito Hawaiino ($14), Pelua Empanada ($5), and Cheese Empanada ($5). Started off with the empanadas - pelua is big, with a good mix between the beef and gouda cheese. Queso empanada is equally large, but is essentially a hunk of cheese. Needs something else inside to have a better balance. Burrito has all the meats - beef, bacon, and ham - to go shopping with onions, chips, rice, and sauce. Tons of flavor and very gluttonous. Chips may have been overkill but didn't detract from the rest of the burrito. Efficient delivery and the price point isn't terrible. Would definitely order from here again.

This small restaurants got the right vibes and the good food. I ordered two empanadas and a drink. The wait was a bit long but it was worth the wait. After ordering at the counter I got a seat by the door and when my order was ready the staff brought it to me. I received my Papelón con Limón first thought it wasn't sweet enough for me it was still very refreshing and I still enjoyed it. The empanadas were still piping hot when I got them but they didn't stop me from taking a bite. The good things about this empanadas is that they are traditional Venezuelan empanadas of a decent size and filled only with what you ordered them with. Unfortunately most of the empanadas I've had are really small in comparison and they usually have some additional filling like potatoes but not here! On top of that they are very affordable in comparison to other empanadas spots. I would come here for the empanadas alone but their menu is full of Venezuelan staples that I am dying to try. Can't wait to come back.

I was in Jackson Hts waiting for my car to be serviced around lunchtime and couldn't decide what to eat given the endless options along Northern Blvd so I let my boyfriend decide and he said I must try his country's food. My first impression was how shockingly small the place was - just two tables and some seating along the front window. I could smell the food from my place in line and I just couldn't wait. Despite being fluent in Spanish, I had no idea what some of the items on the menu alluded to (I speak Dominican Spanish) so I chose one thing that is new and stood out the most to me and one thing that I'm familiar with. The one that stood out the most was "cachapa con cochino frito" (if you're also a Spanish speaker, I 1000% guarantee you'd be furrowing your eyebrows the sight of that word too. IYKYK) so I ordered that one. Alongside it I ordered an arepa mixta. Total after tax and tip came out to a little under $40. I may have underestimated the portion sizes. The cachapa came out bigger than my head!! I was so stuffed halfway through it I had to take the rest to go. The cachapa was so flavorful and such a play on textures with the two slabs of cheese sandwiched in between plus the fried pork bits. There was actual corn in the cachapa too! What tied the dish together were the sauces they provided on the table - there was a spicy orange-colored one and a refreshing green sauce (the taste reminded me of salsa fresca) which was also a gastronomic experience of its own. I enjoyed mixing those two sauces together with my food so much I asked for extra for my to-go food and the ladies working there so nicely complied. As for the arepa mixta, I gave it to my bf for him to eat at work so I can't comment on it except for the fact that they really hooked it up with all the meat they packed in. Bf said he liked it.

Empanadas Mix is a small Venezuelan empanadas eatery but also has other foods such as arepas. The empanadas are huge! Just two is enough for a meal. The dough is a bit on the thick and oily side. I had a shredded beef and shredded chicken empanada. The chicken empanada was much better than the beef one in terms of flavor and juiciness. Eat it with the provided green sauce and it's perfect. They place them in foil bags which keep them piping hot. I also had a passion fruit juice which was very good but very sweet.

Empanadas Mix has become my latest obsession and I just can't seem to get enough of their delectable and delicious food! Northern Boulevard is a thruway winding through some of the best and most diverse Latin American cuisine anywhere and a stop here will give you a taste of some the best Venezuelan fare around. There are, of course, empanadas but the menu also offers specialty hot dogs, fries, burritos, tacos, and sandwiches and you can also order arepas and burgers from their sister establishment a few doors down. Whether you want a snack or a full meal, you won't leave here disappointed. I really love the empanadas here and they're different enough from other establishments I like to visit for me to keep this place in the fold to satisfy cravings for a doughy and delicious crust. My friend put it best when he commented that the empanadas here are like a donut crust empanada! I love the shrimp, and both the shredded beef and chicken with Gouda were excellent. The pabellon burrito is also stellar and an item I want to get again when I'm back with shredded chicken, sweet plantains, rice, black beans, and cheese all coming together perfectly. The service here is great and the space is super cute! I would certainly give this place a go and make sure you order parchita (passion fruit) juice to wash down the greasy goodness of the empanadas. Superb!

I'm counting the days where I'll allow myself to order this again. It's sinfully good. Placed order for take out in person and it took about 25 minutes for about 8 empanadas- it's a pretty tight spot so highly recommend calling ahead of time. There's a small counter + out door dining option if you plan to dine there. You cannot go wrong with anything queso- I found the meats kind of dry, but the action is the sweet and super deep fried casing. It's like eating a savory donut. I had ordered two for myself but felt my arteries telling me to stop after one. They're pretty large and one is quite filling already. My only glaring issue is if you order multiple empanadas to go their labeling process is not super clear (mama's has stamps on theirs but feels very manufactured now). It was tough trying to decipher the different "c"s we had with allergies on hand - but we made it with no causalities. The bags they choose to use are insulated and will keep your goods piping hot.

I loved this empanada spot! First of all, let me share with you the highlights, I had the pabellon empanada, and it was sooo good. Just so you realize...the portion of this empanada is huge. I mean one empanada for me was enough for lunch and a bit of dinner. I couldn't eat another one if I tried even though I wanted to...but the pants will not fit then...but then I can get better pants, right? The empanada that I chose had black beans, plaintains, and a fried gooey flavor! It was sweet, satisfying, and preciously tasty. I came around noon, and it was in high demand. I saw a couple with a baby, another man, and then a ton of walk-in's. It's possible people are calling in orders. I have no idea, really. I just love the vibe. I also get to work on and run through my Spanish which could really use a lot of practice since I haven't taken Spanish class since high school. Secondly, another awesome quality to talk about: I saw many empanadas being made fresh in-house and three ladies just constructing the dough for the pastries. I also noticed they have outdoor seating about 7-8 seats and it's covered so you won't be too cold. Now, that the weather is 50 degrees again, we can sit outside and enjoy an empanada. This place has homemade fresh juices ready to order to go: pabellon (brown sugar lemonade), mora (blackberry), maracuya (passionfruit), and also Postobon (apple soda...I know yum! I love everything that has apple flavor!) Thirdly, an amazing thing worthy of mentioning: Are you a fan of delicious yummy sauces? I am. I highly recommend you try all 3 sauces. If you do not like mayonnaise, then only try the dark green one. My favorite is light green mayo one. Soooo delectable! The only downside is there's a wait, yet I didn't mind being patient...since yesterday I didn't have another meeting until 1 pm. Fair warning: It's just lunch rush might be a bit busy, and it makes sense. I would recommend this place highly! I noticed it opened up during the pandemic, and I saw them building the interior and now they are open! :) I'm coming back soon!
